Hello everyone!

I am BrekLynn Pancheri, and I am beyond excited to share one of the most unforgettable moments of my life with you all. On June 22, 2024, just moments after being crowned Miss Idaho's Teen 2024, I had the privilege of being interviewed by Deanne Coffin from KPVI News Channel 6 in Idaho Falls. The experience was surreal, and I want to take a moment to look back and reflect on that incredible day.

The Crowning Moment

Standing on that stage, hearing my name announced as Miss Idaho's Teen 2024, was a dream come true. It all happened so fast, and within 30 minutes of being crowned, I found myself in front of the camera, still processing the whirlwind of emotions.

"I'm still in shock. I don't think it's fully processed, but I finally just stopped crying, so I'm so excited," I told Deanne during the interview. And that was the absolute truth—I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.

Special Steps Dance: My Heart and Soul

One of the highlights of the interview was getting to talk about my community service initiative, Special Steps Dance. This program is so close to my heart—it provides a space for all special needs dancers to come together, dance, and have fun in an inclusive environment.

Dance has always been a significant part of my life, and being able to share that joy with others, especially those with special needs, is incredibly fulfilling. It's about more than just dance; it's about creating connections, building confidence, and spreading happiness.

Clarifying the Scholarship Awards

In the excitement of the moment, some details were a bit unclear in the initial report. While it was mentioned that I won a $4,000 scholarship, I'm thrilled to share that I actually earned $5,400 in scholarships! This includes:

  • $4,000 awarded upon being crowned, which I can use however I'd like.

  • $1,400 for winning the Rookie Talent Award.

Additionally, I received a four-year Presidential Scholarship to the University of Alabama. This incredible opportunity will allow me to pursue higher education while continuing to grow Special Steps and advocate for inclusivity.

Looking Ahead: The Journey Continues

The title of Miss Idaho's Teen is not just an honor but also a platform to further my mission of making the world more inclusive, one special step at a time. I am committed to expanding Special Steps Dance, reaching more communities, and touching more lives.
